Short Term Outreach
Church teams are impacting the poorest nations on earth! Believers everywhere are coming together to bring the Good News to the world. There is growing interest to go to where the problems are. Short-term teams are making a huge difference in the Dominican Republic, Honduras, Sierra Leone, Uganda, and Belize. This brings people face to face with a God of love…including team members themselves! This is the focus of Sharing International.
Trips Made Easy
Logistics of an endeavor overseas can be overwhelming. That’s where we come in. Sharing makes short-term mission experience simple as possible. Sharing is a “full service” mission, from registration of team members to the “farewell dinner” and debriefing on the field, our mission is to take the “headache” of the mission trip away from the team. Sharing Teams then concentrate on bringing God’s love to desperate areas. Your team can make a difference on a 7 or 10 day trip. With Sharing International, everything is in place.
Bringing a Team? Get Started!
- Order a Team Organizer Application Kit.
- PRAY! Also see if you have the support of your pastor. If so…
- Choose a Date/Location for the trip that fits church’s schedule.
- Share vision for a trip with congregation, (video, story of past participant…).
- Note in the bulletin the date for your [informational meeting].
- The ideal is for the pastor to announce this meeting two different Sundays.
- Build enthusiasm with displays, one-on-one communication, church mailings…
- KEY: Host intro. meeting to share vision, Q & A, pray, distribute applications.
- Collect applications/fees, sign and mail to SI.
- After SI confirmation, US team members obtain a US Passport, (European and North American team members check with your passport office) visas, and Immunizations.
- Receive team manuals from SI.
- Orientation Meeting (Teams of 10 or more SI staff will come at no extra cost.)
- Book flights. Obtain “Savvy Traveler” Travel Insurance, from Travel Guard.
- Begin preparing with manuals once a week (prayer and trip info.).
